COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL THERAPY

CBT is a therapy often used to focus on specific problems, using a goal-oriented approach. The first goal of CBT is to reduce distressing emotions and symptoms, as well as to equip individuals with skills and strategies to prevent, as well as cope with these emotions as they arise. Each session may have a specific target topic to guide discussion, as well as, “homework” – activities, reading or practices that build on what you learn during your regular therapy sessions. It is important you to apply what you're learning in your daily life. The goals of CBT are to help the client identify troubling situations or conditions in their life, become aware of their thoughts, emotions and beliefs about these situations or conditions, identify negative or irrational thinking, and challenge and replacing negative or irrational patterns of thinking

REALITY THERAPY

Reality Therapy is based upon the assumption that we are internally, not externally motivated. Reality therapy suggests that we are motivated by what is most important and satisfying to us. Some of the most basic needs which provide the foundation for all motivation include: to be loving and connected to others; to achieve a sense of competence and personal power; to act with a degree of freedom and autonomy; to experience joy and fun; and to survive. The role of the Life Coach Therapist is to support their clients as they adjust their expectations and face present reality.

ADLERIAN THERAPY

The primary purpose of Adlerian therapy is to encourage the client to develop healthier ways of living out who they are. It focuses on helping individuals correct unhealthy attitudes, assumptions, beliefs, and behaviors in order to function better in their world. The end goal is that the the client will be better able to solve their own problems and feel more confident in their interactions with others. The role of the Life Coach Therapist in this therapy is to provide encouragement, help the client increase self-awareness, and to help the client assess their lifestyle. The relationship will be collaborative and is dependent on cooperation, mutual trust, respect and alignment of goals.
